Duke Persian Students Association (PSA) is a student-run cultural organization whose mission is to promote and celebrate the Persian culture and heritage of Iran on campus. PSA members work together to plan various social events as well as celebrate important Persian holidays such as Norooz, the Persian New Year, and Sadeh, a mid-winter feast to honor fire and to overcome the forces of darkness and cold. Also throughout the academic year, PSA plans campus-wide events such as poetry nights and arranging prominent guest speakers and visitors, from comedians to best-selling authors. PSA invites anyone who takes interest in Persian culture and cultural exchange to join in for all the festivities.
